Phase I Construction Update
July 1, 2013
A new epoxy floor has been installed in Shop 5 in the Automotive Technician program area. Every shop included in the project will receive a new epoxy floor except the Welding Technology program area, which will receive a wax finish due to the nature of the program.
Painters have arrived on the project site in droves and are busy painting walls, doors, door frames and ceilings in all spaces included in the project. A new air handler has been installed in the Welding Technology program area. Footings have been poured for the new welding storage shed. Jib cranes have been relocated and installed in the Heavy Construction Equipment Technology program area.
Electrical and HVAC work at all points in the project continues on schedule. The new multipurpose classrooms have been framed in and are ready for insulation and sheetrocking. New waterborne paint booths are being installed in the Auto Body Collision Technology program area. Renovation project workers will be on the job every weekend for the next four weeks.
