Brenda J. Higgins graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1996 having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. From there, she went on to receive a certification in Kitchen and Bathroom design from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). She relocated to an historic district of St. Paul in 2001 where she established Kitchen Comfort, LLC, a design studio that offers full service design, materials resources, and general contracting expertise. To date, her client list has grown to over 1000 satisfied families, and been presented with many awards and recognitions from the industry.
Since 2007, she has led Dakota County Technical College in being one of a few 2-3 year Interior Design programs nationally accredited by the NKBA; garnering numerous awards of Excellence in Teaching. Many of her students have gone on to successful careers in the realm of Kitchen & Bath. Along with her years of successful business acumen in the field of Interior Design, Brenda's deportment in the classroom is candid, professional, yet infectiously passionate. About teaching, she has this to offer: "I love sharing my practical experiences with such diverse groups of talented students. Keeping abreast of current trends in the industry is essential to our success."
