Carl enjoys working with students; helping them, but also being energized by them. He also enjoys designing a curriculum that helps students understand and appreciate a particular facet of a subject.
In his free time, Carl enjoys sports—tennis, swimming and biking—fishing, hiking and camping; reading (he always has a current book), and, of course, painting; especially, en plein air (outdoors).
