Diana Sullivan

Diana Sullivan is a dental assistant instructor. In 1994, she was hired to develop the curriculum and design the facilities for the DCTC Dental Assistant program. She serves as program director and specializes in teaching radiology, expanded functions, dental materials, practice management, and dental science courses.

Diana has a master's degree in communications/management from Cardinal Stritch University. She also has a bachelor's degree in management and education from Metro State University and a dental assisting certificate from the University of Minnesota.

With more than 20 years of experience as a registered certified dental assistant, she is employed part-time in an orthodontic specialty practice in Eden Prairie. A curriculum specialist and staff representative, she serves as a site visitor to accredit other dental assisting programs for the ADA.

Diana was honored twice as DCTC Teacher of the Year. She has served as a Phi Theta Kappa advisor at the college for more than eight years.

"I encourage every student to achieve success to the best of their abilities," she says, regarding her teaching philosophy.

Seeing her students succeed in their careers is the best part of her job as a DCTC instructor. She also appreciates receiving release time to participate in the ADA site visitor process.

Traveling is her favorite interest.
