Jeff graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1997 and went on to earn a Welding Degree from the Hennepin Tech PSEO program.
Jeff is a graduate of Dakota County Technical College. He completed the Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic program in 1999. He is D.O.T. Certified, 609 A/C Certified, and ASE Certified in Heavy Duty Truck Brakes, A/C, Suspension, and Preventative Maintenance.
In 2008, Jeff started working for the DCTC Truck Driver Training program as the Fleet Mechanic. He transferred to the DCTC Maintenance Staff in 2011 as the school's Fleet Manager and Mechanic.
Over the years, Jeff has worked on a wide variety of trucks, trailers and heavy equipment. He completed an Internship over his first- and second-year HCEM summer for a Sewer and Water Housing Developer in Tennessee. He worked for Turner Brothers as a shop mechanic for a year, then went on to work for Ryan Contracting as a field service tech for 9 years. He brings that wealth of experience into the classroom with him.
Jeff's favorite thing about DCTC is the atmosphere. He enjoys working with professional people that care about and are willing to help one another, and getting to follow the growth of my students from the start of their education to graduation.
Outside of DCTC, Jeff loves to fish at any time of year, ride his mountain bike with his family, snowboarding with his family, and just loves being outside and active — you guessed it — with his family!
