Robert Haworth is a railroad conductor technology instructor. He started at DCTC as a lab tech for the railroad conductor training course in August of 2005 and was promoted to instructor in 2006.
Robert worked for 10 years as a conductor and locomotive engineer for the Burlington
Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
He was the 1982 National YMCA Judo Champion in the open weight class.
Regarding his teaching philosophy, Robert believes in education through "high-energy, fast-paced, interactive lectures, maintaining student participation, interest and alertness."
As for the best part of his job as a DCTC instructor, he feels "blessed with the opportunity and responsibility of positively affecting peoples lives and futures."
Robert's hobbies and interests include lapidary bead art, or glass bead-making, voyager reenactment (fur traders), bodybuilding, judo, Kajukenpo and bowling.
