Marketing Design

Do you have a passion to excel? Are you creative and have an enthusiastic vision? Are you tech savvy, proactive, and organized? If so, DCTC's Marketing Design program may be a great fit for you. Courses focus on three essential marketing design areas: general marketing, online development and basic design. You will learn skills in both traditional and online design, such as, creating designs for web and mobile apps, developing multidimensional experiences to reach your target market, and planning interactive experiences for prospects and customers. Not only will the Marketing Design program set you up for a variety of career options, employment in marketing-related fields is on the rise. According to ISEEK, employment for marketing-related careers, such as marketing specialists, is expected to grow by 32 percent from 2010 to 2020 (ISEEK: Minnesota).

Often a key department to the success of any business, marketing professionals work to develop strategies to meet the overall goals of the organization. Marketers can have creative or project management positions within a department because both are needed to grow an organization. Professionals tend to work under deadlines set from managers, vendors, or themselves. Travel or relocation can be part of the job. However, improved technology continues to increase telecommuting from home offices, which along with teleconferencing, has reduced travel requirements.
