Enter the following information in the college section of the FAFSA:
Future students must be admitted to the college and enrolled in an approved program of study before financial aid will be awarded.
Check out the Admissions Checklist for more information.
You should receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) in approximately three days if you apply online, sign using your FSA ID and provide a valid e-mail address. If you mail in a hard copy of the FAFSA, you will receive a SAR in roughly four weeks.
The SAR is a summary of the information that you provided on your FAFSA. Review your SAR carefully. If you need to make any corrections, please contact the DCTC Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid for assistance.
After your FAFSA is processed along with any required verification documents, you will receive a Financial Aid Award Letterlisting the amount of scholarships, grants, work-study and loans that you are qualified to receive.
If you have been awarded a federal Pell Grant, you must consider the credits for which you are registered at the beginning of the semester. Please keep in mind that the college may only pay federal Pell Grant for the number of registered credits you have on record at the beginning of the semester. If you decide to register for additional credits after the Pell Census Date, you will not receive Pell Grant for these additional credits.
Students with questions regarding financial aid should contact their Academic and Financial Aid Advisor in the Enrollment Services Office.
