Larson, Gayle

Gayle Larson is a general education instructor. She began teaching at DCTC in 1990.

Gayle has a master's degree in health and human services administration with a minor in English from St. Mary's University. She also has a bachelor's degree in communications from Metropolitan State University.

She worked as coordinator of continuing medical education for physicians at the Metropolitan Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Minneapolis.

An advisory board member for the Thompson Course Technology textbook and a book reviewer for Prentice Hall, she has given two national presentations for the Higher Learning Commission.

"I am committed to helping students learn lifelong skills in both English and computer literacy," she says, regarding her teaching philosophy. "I think learning should provide a strong foundation for both a successful career and a meaningful life."

The best part of her job as a DCTC instructor is getting to know students from many different programs and following their success stories.

"I am passionate about theater, art, and reading," adds Gayle. "I love to travel, especially in the company of good friends and family."
