Wood, Thomas

Tom WoodTom Wood is an accounting careers instructor. He began teaching at DCTC in 1983.

Tom has a master's degree in from the University of Minnesota. He has a bachelor's degree in from University of Minnesota, Duluth. He also earned a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) degree from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Before he started his teaching career, he was chief accountant for Hanft, Fride, O'Brien, and Harries, P.A. He also served as assistant general manager for the New York Life Insurance Company.

Tom is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and has served as director of the National Association of Accountants.

In 2005, Tom was honored as DCTC's Outstanding Instructor of the Year. He is listed in Who's Who among American College Teachers.
