Dakota County Technical College is pleased to offer this 6 session, interactive course, focusing on the complete export transaction, with emphasis on export controls and various aspects of international trade. Our aim is to provide you as an individual, or your company, with up to date export rules and regulations, minimalizing the risk factors associated with exporting. This is an introductory course for those new to export trade and an excellent course for those experienced professionals who wish to understand the “complete” export transaction. This course is designed for understanding a variety of potential steps involved in export transactions, from receipt of a request for quotation, through flow of goods including various modes of transportation/routing, export documentation, Incoterms, delivery to the foreign consignee and payment. Professionals in all areas of International Trade and Trade Compliance will find this to be a beneficial learning experience.

Bonnie is a seasoned professional with over four decades of international trade experience. Her background includes employment by several high technology manufacturing companies, ten years for a military defense contractor and 12 years independent international trade compliance consulting and training. Bonnie has substantial experience with international contracts, traffic/logistics, offshore procurement, program management and import/export trade compliance. Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies from Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN.
