Overview

DCTC has offered quality truck driver training since 1973, producing safe, competent and employable truck drivers in an efficient manner.

This nationally recognized program is a million-dollar operation that includes 36 tractors, 36 trailers, a separate building with three classrooms, a truck transmission simulator, three practice exercise areas, and a 2.8 mile enclosed driving course.

Researchers in Finland have found that, during a six-year period, the use of daytime running lights in winter reduced daytime crashes by 21 percent.

Through consultation with the transportation industry along with re-employment and rehabilitation agencies, DCTC has developed several flexible Truck Driver Training program options to fit your needs and schedule. These include a Basic Skills Fast Track day program (4 weeks, 160 hours) for those needing employment quickly, a Part-Time Evening program (6 weeks, 160 hours) for those currently working, and our showcase Advanced Skills day program (8 weeks, 320 hours) for those desiring comprehensive, high quality training resulting in a professional driver with superior employment skills and opportunities.

DCTC also has the capability to custom-design Truck Driver Training programs for companies with warehouse or loading dock workers who wish to advance to become your next driver. These Dock-to-Driver training programs can be offered at your facility or ours, and with your equipment or ours.
