Truck Driver Training
DCTC has been training truck drivers for over 35 years. This is a nationally recognized program that adheres to the highest standards of quality. Through consultation with the transportation industry and re-employment agencies, we have devised three program options that will provide quality training as quickly as your abilities allow.
DCTC also has the capability to custom-design Truck Driver Training programs for companies with warehouse or loading dock workers who wish to advance to become your next driver. These Dock-to-Driver training programs can be offered at your facility or ours, and with your equipment or ours.
Class A CDL Truck Driver Training
Classroom topics cover pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, the proper use of logbooks, and regulations that govern truck drivers and the trucking industry. Most of the program, however, is hands-on driving experience. Students progress from simple driving tasks with basic equipment to advanced driving with big rigs. Professional instructors emphasize safety and efficiency in maneuvering in a freight dock setting, on the open road, and in congested traffic situations.
