Student Life
The DCTC Student Life program encourages student growth and development through a variety of clubs, organizations and activities funded through student activity fees. Student Life supports a variety of extracurricular programming to supplement college coursework:
- Academic clubs enhance the educational experience and promote scholarly activities.
- Civic, social or recreational clubs promote community involvement, camaraderie and beneficial diversions.
- Varsity athletic programs provide opportunities to compete in soccer, baseball and fastpitch softball at the NJCAA level.
All students currently enrolled at DCTC are eligible to participate in DCTC sponsored clubs, Organizations & Activities—except for Phi Theta Kappa, commonly known as PTK, and varsity athletics.

Student Life Center
Located on northeast side of the main commons in Room 1-300, the Student Life Center offers students a place to relax and socialize between classes. Watch TV, play pool or darts, or catch up with your friends.

Varsity Athletics
A member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, or NJCAA, DCTC offers varsity competition in women's soccer, men's soccer, fastpitch softball and baseball.
Men's baseball and women's fastpitch softball compete in the Minnesota Community College Conference (MCCC) Division III. Women's soccer and men's soccer compete in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division I.
Students wishing to play varsity sports for DCTC should visit the Student Life Center, Go Blue Knights or follow the contact information at the bottom of the page.
We strongly recommend that future DCTC athletes sign up before the season begins due to NJCAA eligibility requirements.
