Major Description

Multicultural Human Resources Management

The Multicultural Human Resources Management Diploma is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today's multicultural business environment by supporting a positive career development process. Skills learned are universal and can be applied to profit, non-profit, and public organizations, and more specifically to manufacturing, event hospitality, retail, and health services industries. Build on the Multicultural Supervision Certificate and additional Human Resources Development courses to successfully complete your diploma and attain your career goals.

Multicultural Leadership

The Multicultural Leadership Diploma is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today's multicultural business environment. This diploma allows individuals from any background to: take a proactive response to a changing workplace; learn about multiculturalism through a unique and integrated leadership training; and shrink the communication gap by discovering a more personal approach to multiculturalism through meaningful conversations.

Skills learned are universal and can be applied to profit, non-profit, and public organizations, and more specifically to manufacturing, event hospitality, retail, and health services industries. Build on the Multicultural Supervision Certificate and additional Supervisory Management courses to successfully complete your diploma and attain your career goals.

Career Opportunities

Multicultural Human Resources Management

The Multicultural Human Resources Management Diploma provides training to help individuals perform successfully in multicultural organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors in positions such as human resource specialist, team leader, supervisor, manager, or entrepreneur

Multicultural Leadership

The Multicultural Leadership Diploma provides training to help individuals, from any background, perform successfully in multicultural organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors in positions such as team leader, supervisor, manager, entrepreneur or event and meeting manager.

Program Delivery

Students can begin this program Fall, Summer, or Spring semester. Evening, weekend and online course are offered. Full- or part-time starts are available. Courses in this program are offered at DCTC's Apple Valley site. The accelerated program is available in its entirety either online or in the classroom. Courses start each month.

Most courses are offered in a format that is highly interactive and at consistent times to accommodate working adults.

Students graduate in as little as one year by attending part-time, two nights a week, year round. Courses are sequenced to allow graduation for the certificate program in approximately eight months.
