A one-day orientation is required at the beginning of each cohort program. It is offered at the Apple Valley Site or can be arranged at an alternative location. Students and their families will have a chance to meet each other and form relationships that will carry on throughout their online experience. Yellow Ribbon Entrepreneur Initiative is also available to Soldiers who are currently deployed.

Major Description
The Yellow Ribbon Entrepreneur Initiative Program is an online program focused on small business operation and entrepreneurship. It is designed exclusively for individuals who have served in the U.S. military. Students participating in the program will work with a small and consistent group of students throughout their entire education experience. Course material is designed to integrate one's military experience into an entrepreneurial opportunity.
Innovate & Accelerate
Whether you want to start a home-based business or be the next Steve Jobs, this program will provide you with a strong foundation for owning and operating a successful business. What makes this program so unique is that the military experience is interwoven into the curriculum to provide the veteran student with the ability to connect the skills developed through their military service and the benefits of being a veteran with the opportunities that exist in self-employment.

New Educational Funding Available for Vets
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) and the Department of Labor (DOL) are working on opening the new Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) education funding program to close the gap for vets. VRAP offers up to 12 months of training assistance to unemployed Veterans. Applications are being accepted now.
