Fitness Challenge Begins
March 26, 2018
Location : Dakota County Technical College, 1300 145th St E, Rosemount, MN 55068, USA
Form a team of three Dakota County Technical College friends and compete in the annual DCTC FITNESS CHALLENGE
The challenge, which begins Monday, Mar. 26, is a six-week wellness incentive program designed to motivate DCTC students, staff and faculty to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
Teams of four gain points weekly for healthy activities such as:
- eating well
- not using tobacco
- dental hygiene
The challenge to individual participants is to recognize and record healthy behaviors while working to improve weaker habits.
As the weeks progress, team and individual points will be tallied and posted in the Wellness Center to keep everyone informed on how their team is "shaping up". At the conclusion of the challenge, awards will be given to the top teams and individuals, as well as other notable individual accomplishments. If a tie occurs, prizes will be awarded by a drawing. Anyone who earns 100 points or more in the six weeks will win a prize in recognition of their hard work.
The Fitness Challenge is a great opportunity to get in shape with the encouragement from your teammates and other teams. Registration is $5 for staff/faculty and free for students. Sign up by March 26 with Tom Cross in the Student Life Center. The challenge ends on Friday, May 4 with prizes being awarded on Monday, May 7. Contact Tom at 651-423-8677 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you need teammates or have any questions.
