Dakota County Technical College does not offer on-campus housing. The housing list below is offered as a courtesy to our students. DCTC does not provide any additional housing services or resources other than this list. Please carefully review the conditions below.

    Description: My home is 11 miles from the campus. I have a beautiful lower level that is furnished with a bathroom, family room and large bedroom. Kitchen is in laundry room with refrigerator but no stove. A microwave, toaster oven, etc are available for cooking purposes. Dishes can be brought to main level for dishwasher use. I have 3 small dogs and a cat, All very friendly. Looking for a student that is respectful, honest, quiet and non-smoker and non drinker. I am a woman 65 years of age and retired. Rent is $600.00 a month includes furnishings, heat, A/C, electric and wifi. Need to bring your own towels and bedding for a queen size bed. A deposit of 250.00 is required up front and will be returned upon giving a 30 day notice and leaving the downstairs in good condition. I will need to see valid DL and Dakota Technical College admissions paperwork to verify. Please inquire if interested.

SECTION 42 AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Full-time, income-qualified students at least 18 years old may apply for Section 42 Housing. Special rules for student residents apply. If you are a part-time student, you are exempt from the eligibility requirements. If you are 18 years of age or older and a full-time student, you must meet ONE of the following special requirements to be eligible for housing:

  • Be married
  • Have physical custody of your children if you are single
  • Participate in the Job Training Partnership Act or other similar programs funded by Federal/State/Local sources
  • Have a member of the household receiving MFIP
