Jessica Ayub has been DCTC’s Director of Career Services since 2015. Overall, she has 10 years of experience related to employment services. She earned a Master's degree in Counseling/Psychology from
Bethel University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management with Honors. Additionally, she completed an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts/MnTC from North Hennepin Community College.
Jessica has held career roles at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business,
Pine Technical and Community College, and Anoka-Ramsey Community College-Cambridge. Prior to that she was an Employment Counselor at O’Hara and Associates, a vocational rehabilitation workers’ compensation firm.
In 2007, Jessica started in HR Talent Acquisition at Fairview Health Services. Jessica is a Global Career Development Facilitator (and instructor for this credential now), is certified in
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and is a State of Minnesota Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
In her spare time Jessica enjoys volunteering in the community and being actively engaged in various professional associations. Jessica was a 2014-2016 board member and current professional member of the
MN Career Development Association (MCDA). In 2018-19, Jessica will serve on a Committee: Careers for Students with Disabilities Task Force and will be involved in the Leadership Advancement Program (LAP) with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), an organization with a membership of 12,000 institution career services professionals and employer representatives. She has also been with the National Career Development Association (NCDA) on their Global Connections Committee (GCC) since 2016 and Editor since 2015 for the "Professional Counselors and Specialists" department column with the organization's quarterly print magazine, , sent to 5,000 members worldwide.
