Patrick Lair has been at Dakota County Technical College since 1997. He is currently DCTC’s Director of Student Success after serving 15 years as the college's Admissions Director. He has a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from the College of St. Catherine and a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy/Music Education from Ohio University.
He worked as a clinical music therapist with children, adolescents, and adults for over nine years in a mental health/addictions hospital. He is the former Program Coordinator of the Institute for Behavioral Medicine, past Director of Student Services at Music Tech (now McNally Smith College of Music), and was a District Representative for Lutheran Brotherhood. Patrick has served as an organizational development consultant and facilitator for businesses and organizations.
He is a former entertainer and is often called on to speak to church groups, community organizations, schools, and businesses on the benefits of humor and laughter.
