McKracken's Pub Volleyball Tourney
Please join us for the McKracken's Pub Volleyball Tourney on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at 12 noon. Played on two sand courts on DCTC's main campus in Rosemount, Minn, the tourney is part of DCTC's Septemberfest, a fun, free, day-long event for the entire family.
McKracken's Pub, newly opened in Burnsville, Minn., is sponsoring the event. McKracken's, which features an Irish pub atmosphere, is replacing the Black Dawg Bar & Grille and is owned by Phil Marvets and his brother Tony.
Register your six-person team today for an afternoon packed with Kong blocks, pit sizzlers, wipes, booms, cobras and kills.

Volleyball Tourney Registration Form
General Information
Team Entry Fee
- Septemberfest Volleyball Tourney Registration Form must accompany the registration fee; mailing information is available on the form
- All team players must fill out Waiver Form in advance or on the day of the event prior to play
- All players must be 18 years old or older to play
- $10 for teams registering on or before Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, with at least one DCTC student/alumni/faculty/staff
- $20 for non-DCTC teams that register on or before Friday, Sept. 11, 2009
- $25 for day-of-tournament team registrations
- Deadline for early-bird registration is 12 noon, Friday, Sept. 11, 2009
- All entry fees and forms must be received prior to the first game or a team will be declared ineligible
- Make checks paybable to the DCTC Foundation
Tourney Rules
- Tournament will be round-robin play beginning at noon.*
- Teams must have at least six players in order to play with at least two females on the court at all times and no more than 10 players total.
- Teams who have fewer than six players at their scheduled playing time will be given a five-minute grace period. If their missing player(s) do not arrive, the team will DQ.
- Teams should check in at least 30 minutes in advance of their scheduled playing time. Team captains will be notified of their first game and check-in time prior to the tournament.
- After the round-robin play, teams will be seeded into a single elimination tournament to determine the champion. Seeding of the teams will be determined by: matches won/games lost/points against.
- All matches will be the best of three games, rally scoring to fifteen (15). Teams must win by two points (cap to 17 points). If a third game is necessary, teams will switch sides when the first team earns eight (8) points.
- Pool play matches will be a maximum of thirty(30) minutes. Tournament matches will be a maximum of forty-five (45) minutes. If a game in not finished in the allotted time, the team winning at the end of the time limit will win that game to help determine the match winner. A five and two minute warning will be announced.
- ONCE TIME IS CALLED, the point being played will be allowed to conclude.
- There will be no warm-up time (unless tournament is ahead of schedule).
Teams need to be ready at their scheduled time, meaning any warm-ups need to be done prior to game time. - More specific rules will be provided at the tournament.
- All games will be refereed by qualified officials.
- Prizes valued at up to $250 dollars will be awarded to the teams placing first, second, and third at the end of the tournament.
