Through a partnership with the city of Rosemount and Ames Construction, the Ames Soccer Complex opened for play in fall 2009. Featuring three soccer fields, including a championship field with lights, the complex can be divided into six youth soccer fields. Home to the Blue Knights Women and Men's soccer teams and Rosemount's youth soccer program, the Ames Soccer Complex is one of the finest two-year college soccer facilities in the Midwest.
A new edition on the DCTC campus, Ames Field held a grand opening called Blue 42, a community gathering and celebration on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. Home to Blue Knights men's baseball, the ball park was make possible through partnerships with Ames Construction, Cemstone and Albers Mechanical. The facility is used for athletic camps and training programs throughout the summer. Ames Field is one of the finest two-year college baseball facilities in the nation.
DCTC athletic facilities are located on Dakota County Technical College's main campus in Rosemount, Minn. The Ames Soccer Complex is on the southwest side of campus; Ames Field is on the east side. Both facilities are visible from County Road 42.
DCTC is pleased to report that Governor Mark Dayton and the Minnesota State Legislature granted funding for the college's Transportation and Emerging Technologies Renovation Project as part of the state's 2012 bonding bill. The entire campus community wishes to thank all the legislators, public officials and area residents who gave and continue to give their support to this important project, which is designed to help eliminate Minnesota's skills gap while improving the state's economy.
