Cash gifts fund student scholarships, projects, activities and future endeavors. Cash gifts typically offer the greatest immediate tax benefits.
Cash gifts can be made as a memorial or as a tribute to an individual. Recipients or family members receive acknowledgement on your behalf. Donation amounts remain confidential.
Effortlessly give and save as you purchase everyday items. Download the free Spave app and direct a portion of your daily spending to the DCTC Foundation.
Securities are often the most advantageous way to make a donation because the federal capital gains tax is avoided as when assets are sold. The gift value for tax purposes will be determined on the transfer date to the DCTC Foundation.
A charitable bequest in your will leaving the DCTC Foundation a portion of your estate may produce sizeable savings to heirs in reduced income and estate taxes.
You are invited to contribute to any of the following endowments:
Contact the Foundation Office to establish an endowment in your name or in another name you select.
A paid-up life insurance policy is a charitable contribution equaling the cash value of the policy. Other policies can be given while you continue to pay the premiums, generating income tax deductions when the DCTC Foundation is named both owner and fiduciary.
A new policy on your life naming the DCTC Foundation as beneficiary guarantees a future gift as well.
Tangible personal property such as art, books and equipment related to the DCTC mission are tax deductible at fair market value. To avoid the federal capital gains tax from a sale, please consider donating personal property to the DCTC Foundation.
More than 1,000 parent companies and corporate foundations in the United States currently match employee gifts to nonprofit organizations such as the DCTC Foundation.
Under corporate matching gift programs, gifts made by an eligible company employee to a nonprofit organization meeting the company guidelines are matched with company or corporate funds.
In most cases, a donor completes the company's matching gift form and sends it to the DCTC Foundation along with the donation. Matching gift forms can be obtained from the company personnel office.
The IRA charitable rollover allows donors age 70½ and older to make direct distributions resulting in a distinct tax advantage.
