Adrienne Zarn, CPC, CAN-PC started as the medical coding instructor at DCTC in the Fall of 2018. Adrienne has over 30 years’ experience in the medical field. She went from a 4th grade classroom teacher to instructing teaching physicians and their residents at major universities within the United States.
She has solid experience in the legal arena of healthcare as a Healthcare Fraud Investigator, Compliance Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer. Adrienne is past President of the Minneapolis chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders. Adrienne was a Senior Consultant for McManis & Monsalve Associates and performed audits and provided education to physicians and coding/billing staff members throughout the Great Plains, New Mexico and Oklahoma Indian Reservations.
Adrienne graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a minor in Special Education. She earned multiple coding certifications from the American Academy of Professional Coders as she is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and a Certified Professional Anesthesia and Pain Management Coder (CAN-PC).
