Scott currently works for BRAUN Intertec as a Building Structure and Sciences Senior Consultant and has over 38 years experience in construction and inspection. Scott has worked for the University of Minnesota, Cities of Minnetonka and Hugo as a building inspector, and worked as a concrete finisher and carpenter. Scott is also currently an instructor for the Construction Management programs at Mesabi Range College, Dunwoody College of Technology, and the University of Minnesota. Scott also currently serves on The Minnesota Board of Architects & Engineers, the International Code Council Education Committee, and a number of other local and national education committees.
Scott has a Master of Education degree from the University of Minnesota in Business & Industry Education, a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Minnesota in Construction Management, an Associate of Applied Science degree from North Hennepin Community College in Building Inspection Technology, and a two – year certificate from St. Cloud Technical College in Carpentry. Scott is also a Certified Building Official with the State of Minnesota and the International Code Council, and a Certified Building Inspector with the International Code Council.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time boating, fishing, golfing, running, hiking, and snorkeling. He enjoys traveling and spending time in Hawaii, Alaska, the Black Hills of South Dakota, and the north shore of Lake Superior.
