Please read Minnesota State Policy 3.39 to ensure a clear understanding of your rights and responsibilities that relate to transferring credits to DCTC.
The formal transfer appeals process is as follows:
- The student fills out a petition form. Supplemental information that can be provided – a syllabus, course description, or reading list – can help.
- The registrar reviews the petition.
- The student receives, in writing, the outcome of the petition. The Registrar's decision is binding at the college level.
- The student may appeal the college's transfer appeal decision at the system level to the Senior Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs. The decision of the Senior Vice Chancellor shall be binding on all system college and university parties.
