Amy Eppen started working at DCTC in 2009 in the joint role of Academic Advisor and Financial Aid Specialist. She served on a variety of campus committees including the Equity and Inclusion Council, Athletics Task Force, and the Polytechnic Exploratory Taskforce. What she enjoyed most about this position was the variety of work and assisting students in overcoming obstacles and reaching their educational and personal goals. Previous to DCTC, Amy was employed at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities campus as a One Stop Services Counselor. This position represented the Registrar's Office, Student Accounts Receivable, and Financial Aid providing a wide-range of college experience. While at the University of MN, Amy completed her Master's degree.
Amy recently accepted a position serving as the Assistant Director in the Foundation Office. As the Alumni Association manager, she looks forward to working with DCTC students as they approach graduation and move into their respective fields. Amy is proud of her strong, positive working relationships with colleagues and students and will strive to build similar connections with community members and donors further expanding fundraising efforts.
On a personal note, Amy is married to a high school teacher and basketball coach and they have two bright, energetic, and loving young girls. The Eppens enjoy spending time at the beach and try to get away each summer. Amy also enjoys running, Starbucks lattes, catching up with friends, and watching movies.
